Cooking bacon, helpful tips

When cooking bacon and you don’t have a cover:
don’t have the burner on high heat unless you are cooking for a small army. Also, when turning the bacon be sure that the utensil that you are using is not wet causing the water to expand so quickly that it throws the hot grease out of the pan on you and onto the counter. Whenever possible take care to not over drink wine, spirits and or beer as you are cooking the bacon. This may impede your judgment causing messes and possible bodily injury. If you are wearing a shirt be sure that you don’t mind having bacon grease on. Important note: if it happened once… it will likely happen again. After the first pop of hot bacon grease out of the pan, do not assume it was a fluke and continue cooking it in the same exact way, make an adjustment to whatever you did to cause the mishap. Lastly don’t cook bacon just in your underwear especially if you did not heed all of the above. (less the shirt)
